We at Boyd's Tire & Service are a family owned and operated multi-location tire and automotive repair service company. Our company includes seven locations in and around the greater Columbus, Ohio market. Unlike most typical tire centers, we offer a complete, state-of-the-art automotive and small truck repair service facility. We offer Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly brand tires, wheels Interstate batteries, NAPA brand parts and Valvoline Oil lubricants and fluids; with all of these partners being our primary suppliers for over 15 years! Our automotive repair services include engine diagnostics and repairs, oil changes, electrical systems, heating and a/c repair, brakes, steering, suspension, wheel alignment, and transmission repair. On all our automotive service repairs, we offer a minimum 12-month nationwide warranty on our services.
Our company history begins in 1996 with our first service center, Boyd's Eastpointe Tire & Service, located at the corner of E. Broad St. and Reynoldsburg-New Albany Rd in the suburb of Blacklick. Due to the success of our Eastpointe location, in spring of 1999, we opened a second facility, Boyd's Northgate Tire & Service, in the suburb of Westerville. The success of the first two locations allowed Boyd's to build a third facility, which opened in September 2001 near Polaris Mall in Lewis Center. Over the next 5 years our company doubled in size with the addition of locations in Hilliard, Marysville, Columbus and a 2nd location in Westerville. All four sites were failing existing locations, which were offered to us through our partnership with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. whom we value as our friend in business. Even though all these existing locations were failing at the time of our assuming control, we have now successfully renovated not only all of the buildings, but the customer base that had been lost by the previous ownership.
Currently at Boyd's Tire & Service we employ over 70 dedicated and talented service professionals, many of which are highly regarded in their own profession in addition, unlike most of the industry, our employees are not compensated completely on commission. They make bonuses based on productivity, which allows them to feel comfortable with their pay and not have any stress or angst if we are in a slow period of business. This type of pay scale allows us to attract the top professionals in our industry, as well as protect the integrity of our shops. Due to this family oriented noncompetitive work environment, our shops develop a spirit of teamwork and recognize the excellence of the overall group. Some of our biggest success stories are the young people, trained in-house, who have developed into productive, professional technicians. We are also proud that assistant managers, promoted from our other locations, manage some of our new units.

In addition to our successes with our customers, we are considered an A+ business with the BBB and have been nominated for various industry awards over our years. Our owner, Keith Boyd, has been nominated "Small Businessman of the Year" twice since our doors opened in '96 by the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce. In addition, our company recently made it in to the top 20 finalists for the national "Top Shop Award" which is handed out annually by Tire Review. These awards are merely a reflection of the effort we put into being The Name associated with doing quality, valuable and trustworthy repair.
