4 Simple Tips to Help All Terrain Tires Last Longer

posted on

Tires OhioWe are going to outline a few tips everyone should be aware of with all terrain vehicles that are equipped with all terrain tires. Trucks and sport utility vehicles are extremely popular, so we know how important it is to everyone that these vehicles are taken care of correctly.

Tip 1: The most common way a tire wears out, is by quickly braking or slamming on your brakes. It’s best to avoid sudden braking as much as you can. Only brake like this if it’s an absolute must. Instead, simply step on your brakes steadily and in a slow manner. This actually preserves the tire but also helps with fuel efficiency. Slamming on the brakes is a great way to eat up the fuel in your vehicle like an angry monster.

Tip 2: Rough terrain is a great way to tear up your tires, so avoid it if you can. Rough roads are uncomfortable for one, and even though your vehicle may be built to plow through the rough terrain, we are talking about making those tires last longer.

Tip 3: Have your tires rotated, serviced, and maintained regularly. It’s best to have this done every few weeks. What this does is save you money in the long run by spotting problematic areas, before they become problems that need to be addressed.

Tip 4: Equip your vehicle with high quality tires. Using a quality tire over a cheap tire can actually give you months and months of road use. Ask one of our specialists or contact us, if you have any questions about setting up an appointment for tire installation on your car / truck.
